they are a great companion in vegetable garden and used for many health benefits, it’s highly medicinal plant. Marigolds deserves to be in every garden.

Bamboo Nandina 

Also known as heavenly bamboo, a semi evergreen plant produce lush green foliage in summer, colorful leaves and red berries in fall time.

I love this nandina bamboo in my garden.

nandina sure is a heavenly bamboo.

Pita bread

imagePita bread is easy to make and you can use it in many ways. I make pita bread every time I want to make falafel. I always make more for many ways to use. You can make pizza, you can make pita chips and eat with tahini hummus, you can eat with soups, make sandwiches and sometimes you don’t feel like making roti to eat with your dal , rice and vegetables, you can eat pita bread instead. I always keep extra in my freezer, so let’s start making pita bread.

Ingredients.

Two cups bread flour

One cup whole wheat flour

Two tsp or less salt

One tsp sugar

One pk yeast

Two cups warm water

Two tablespoons olive oil

Prepare the dough.

In a large bowl mix both flours

Add salt, sugar, oil and yeast

Mix it well add warm water, make a dough not hard and not to soft, make a ball cover it tight.Let it rest for a hour in warm place and after one hour dough should be fluffy. Knead and cover it then rest another hour. The dough should be ready by now. Make a small balls cover it let them rest for few minutes.

Lets Bake:


Roll all the dough balls in to small circle.

Preheat the oven at 400

Bake two at a time using baking sheet.

Bake each side for about five minutes.

Your hot and fluffy pita bread should be ready to enjoy.

Oven baked spiced sweet potato

Oven baked spiced sweet potato🌶  Made with

One sweet potato 

One while potato 

One red onion 

Three cloves of garlic 

Prepare 

Wash, clean, cut sweet potato, white potato 

Cut onion in slice

Cut garlic in half 

Place all vegetables in baking sheet 

Add 

Salt

Black pepper 

Red chill powder 

Drizzle couple of tablespoons of olive oil 

Mix it all well

Spread it evenly 

Preheat the oven 400 degrees 

Let it bake until tender from inside and crispy golden brown from outside 

Turn off the oven 

Enjoy hot with ketchup 

Must say had a Great time eating this sweet potato for my breakfast 🙂

Sautéed Spinach🍃Garden fresh spinach sautéed with 

olive oil.

garlic.

salt.

red chili powder🌶

turmeric powder.

pinch of hing or asafetida powder. 

Few mustard seeds.

Few cumin seeds 

Let’s sauté spinach🍃

In a saucepan

Add 

Couple of tablespoons cooking oil .

Once oil gets hot and starts swirling around 

Add mustard seeds.

Add cumin seeds.

Once seeds starts cracking 

Add pinch of hing or asafetida powder. 

Add chopped or thinly cut garlic pieces Before garlic turn brown 

.Add pinch of turmeric powder.

Add clean spinach🍃

Add red chili powder according to your taste🌶

Add salt to taste.

Mix it all well

Cover it just for a minute or so, spinach is full of water, will give out lots of water

Mix it well once and leave it uncover

Let most of water boil down leaving just slightly juicy so you can easily eat with roti, pita bread, bread buns or flat breads .

Tastes delicious with pita bread and yoghurt.

Berry smoothie bowl🍓🍒🍇🍊🍌🍧

This berry smoothie bowl is a light, healthy and dairy free.  It’s a vegan smoothie made with out any milk or yoghurt. It’s a snack after lunch, dinner or just for fun. Refreshing snack for warm summer days.
Berry smoothie bowl is quick and easy to make, very refreshing to eat.
Let’s make this berry smoothie bowl.
Ingredients.
Frozen mix berry. You can use fresh berries of your choice but I like frozen berries. frozen berries easy to use and you don’t have to use any ice in while you blend.
One banana.
One tablespoon almond powder.
Half a glass orange juice.
One tablespoon honey.
Place all ingredients in a blender.
Blend it in to thick ice cream like consistency just using enough orange juice to blend all ingredients.image
Add berries, banana, almond powder and honey first.
Add orange juice as needed.
Take berry smoothie in a bowl to enjoy.
Note:
For thicker constancy or to eat later keep it in a freezer.
