Bake a couple of Italian breads to eat with eggplant parmigiana I made.
Ingredients
Three cups of all purpose flour
One pk yest
Three tablespoons olive oil
Two tsp salt or to taste
One tsp sugar
Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on
Some sesame seeds to sprinkle over
Small piece of butter to rub over once it’s done
To make a dough
Take a warm water cup and a half
Add yest
Add sugar
Cover it, keep it a side , yest will become active and foamy
In a large bowl
Take three cups of all purpose flour
Add couple of tablespoons olive oil
Add salt
Add the yest water you prepare
Mix it softly, add more water if needed but not to make too sticky
Make a ball, press it to get rid of any air
Cover it with warm damp cloth
Keep the bowl in warm place for one hour
After one hour
Press the dough one more time, cover it for one more hour
After two hour dough should be ready
Make one large oblong shape ball , cut it in a half to make two
Roll each one to make oblong shape to make two breads
In a bowl take tablespoon of olive oil add Parmesan and sesame seeds
Mix it all and rub it on both bread dough
Make few scarves on breads with knife, then let it rise for half an hour
Preheat the oven for 375
Once oven is ready bake the breads for about 35 minutes or until done and looks golden brown
Take it out rub stick of butter gently to make breads extra soft
Delicious Italian bread ready to eat with any Italian dish, make sandwiches or just plain with butter.
