I always make pita bread at home. It’s so readily available for many things. You can make falafel, you can make chips to eat with salsa or humus, you can eat with vegetables and rice in place of Roti and you can make pita pizza.
Now you know why I make pita breads so often. I already posted recipe for pita bread earlier. I always have pita breads readily available in my refrigerator. Today I feel like making pita pizza.
Pita pizza is not only very easy and quick to make but also have different tastes than regular pizza and that’s make pita pizza so special so let’s make pita pizza.
Two Pita breads.
Four tablespoons Pizza sauce.
About half cup more or less as you like Mozzarella cheese.
Two tablespoons Olive oil.
Couple of cloves garlic.
Two jalapeño peppers.
Pinch of salt
Crushed red pepper flakes
In baking sheet place two pita breads
Shred garlic in olive oil.
Spread the oil on pita bread covering both sides. You can skip this step if you don’t prefer garlicky taste.
Spread pizza sauce on pita breadsy
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on pita breads.
Slice onion and peppers, sautéed them in a little bit oil and pinch of salt. You can skip this step if don’t like sautéed.
Spread onions and peppers on top of the cheese
Let’s cook pita pizza.
Preheat the oven for 350
Once the oven is ready
Bake the pita pizza for about 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese melts and breads starts getting slightly crispy.
Turn off the oven.
Sprinkle some black pepper and red pepper flakes for extra taste.
Enjoy this hot, crispy, slightly soft and full of flavor pita pizza.
